WhisperPDF · Free Split PDF tool

Split a PDF — keep the pages you need.

Send one chapter instead of the whole manual. Email page 3 instead of the entire statement. Split runs in your browser, so the full document never gets uploaded just to extract a piece of it.

How to split a PDF

  1. Open the Split PDF tool on the WhisperPDF homepage and add your PDF.
  2. Choose how to split — pull out a page range (like pages 2–5), or turn every page into its own separate PDF.
  3. Split — page ranges come down as one new PDF; every-page splits are bundled neatly for download.
  4. Download your pages — the original file on your device is untouched; you just get the new, smaller documents.

Why split here instead of uploading?

Splitting is often about sharing less — one page of a bank statement for a landlord instead of the whole month, one section of a report instead of the full file. Uploading the complete document to a server to extract one page defeats the purpose:

  • The full document stays home. Only the pages you choose end up in the file you share — and the original never leaves your device at all.
  • Exact pages, preserved perfectly. Extracted pages are copied, not re-rendered, so text and layout stay identical.
  • No page ransom. No per-day task cap and no 'premium' lock on multi-page splits.
  • Works offline once loaded. Airplane-mode test it yourself.

Split PDF — questions, answered straight

How do I extract just one page from a PDF?

Choose the page-range mode and enter the same page twice — for example 3–3 gives you a PDF containing only page 3.

Can I split a PDF into separate files for every page?

Yes. The every-page mode turns each page into its own one-page PDF, bundled for a single download — handy for uploading pages one at a time to a portal.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied exactly as they are, including text, images and links. Nothing is recompressed.

Will the original PDF be changed?

No. Splitting creates new files; the document on your device stays exactly as it was.

Is there a page limit?

No artificial one. Very large documents are limited only by your device's memory — a laptop handles the biggest files best.
